What it is
MyBenAI is an AI assistant with no server behind it. The language model, the speech recognition, the speech synthesis and the image understanding all run on the handset, which is why it keeps working in airplane mode: there is nowhere for the work to be sent.
It does the things a cloud assistant does — chat, voice conversation, reading an image you hand it, searching the web, running tools and agents, scheduling jobs, connecting to what you already use — and adds the things only a local assistant can: search across your own documents, notebooks kept on the device, and a long-term memory that never leaves it.
There is no account and no sign-up, because there is nothing to sign in to. The app is free forever; a $2 one-time unlock adds on-device image generation, vision, and the largest models your particular phone has the memory to run.
